Soculent Watermelon – fermented elderflower soda with watermelon juice
Soculent Watermelon brings together two of the most popular and most delicious ways to cool down: socată and watermelon. The base is the same slow-fermented elderflower soda, with watermelon juice added. The pink colour comes from black carrot, not synthetic colourants.
What does it taste like?
Sweet and refreshing, with the watermelon instantly recognisable but not covering the elderflower. The finish is still tangy, from fermentation, which keeps it well away from a syrupy taste. The flavour that catches the eye, and the one children ask for most.
Ingredients
Water, sugar, fermented compound (water, sugar, lemon juice concentrate and elderflowers), lemon juice from concentrate (2.3%), freshly squeezed lemon juice (2%), carbon dioxide, watermelon juice from concentrate (1%), black carrot concentrate for colour, natural flavouring. Dried elderflowers equivalent to 2.7 g of fresh elderflowers were used to make one litre of soft drink.

How we serve it

Soculent Watermelon is alcohol-free, but it can be used as an ingredient in cocktails – for example with gin, vodka or prosecco.
